SOS Locksmith is a professionally licensed locksmith company operating in New York’s Chelsea district, between 21st and 22nd Street on 7th Avenue. Founded in 1973, our aim is to provide a reputable source of efficient locksmith and high-security services in NYC. Over the years we’ve evolved from humble beginnings to a company at the forefront of the trade.
We still operate from our original Chelsea storefront, and we’re here to serve the greater New York City area — from a single re-keyed apartment lock to a building-wide security system.
Alongside our locksmith service we run SOS Advanced Security, a sub-division for high-security products. Established as an independent department a decade in, and once run by only two technicians, it has grown into a reputable source for advanced security systems — access control, CCTV, and intercoms — with a fleet of vehicles and dozens of trained professional technicians.

The guy came in 40 minutes, banged the key into the lock, which is now working perfectly.
