Family-run in Kips Bay

A neighborhood bakery with only two owners since 1935.

Since opening in 1935, La Delice has had only two owners. George, the current owner since 1976, has been baking his entire life. He began his professional baking career in 1968 while attending culinary school in Greece, then moved to New York and bought La Delice in 1976.

The bakery still focuses on handmade products, fine ingredients, and old-fashioned baking techniques.

Call ahead for large orders and the team will have it waiting when you arrive. Fresh rolls and coffee are available all day.

Specialty & Wedding Cakes

Custom cakes made the old-fashioned way.

Birthday cakes and wedding cakes are a La Delice specialty. Call the bakery to talk through flavors, sizes, buttercream, rolled fondant, whipped cream, and custom decoration.
