Look Good, Feel Good.
— Fit is everything — There is a difference between a tailor who can perform a basic alteration and an experienced, skilled, professionally trained fitter who can guide you on how a garment should fit your body. Alterations.com has been altering tailored clothing for fashion connoisseurs for over 20 years. Family owned and operated, in the tailoring business for three generations. No job is too big or too small — and every job is guaranteed for fit and quality.

A professional male tailor performs fittings by default. A part-time female seamstress is available if you let us know in advance.
Designer brands we alter to original specification include Armani, Brioni, Burberry, Canali, Brunello Cucinelli, Balenciaga, Balmain, BOSS, Brooks Brothers, Belstaff, Bottega Veneta, Calvin Klein — and dozens more designer and off-the-rack brands. We alter nearly any women's brand in the world, with limited basic hems only on Reem Acra, Tadashi Shoji, Jenny Yoo, and Rachel Roy.
Home of the World's Only No-Question-Asked 6 Months Guarantee
We guarantee every single seam we touch on all garments — even if you didn't buy the suit from us.
Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with an alteration, we will do whatever it takes to ensure you are satisfied. The satisfaction of our clients means everything to us.
*Restriction: the customer is always right.
Free Re-Alterations
We will re-alter any garment for 6 months at no charge, no questions asked — even if you simply change your mind about the fit.
*We cannot rush free re-alterations on work performed over 6 months ago. Give us a week or two for warranty re-alterations.
Free Maintenance
We will maintain any garment we previously altered for 6 months at no charge — reinforcing hems, tightening or replacing buttons, replacing clasps, repairing lining, reinforcing seams, hand pressing, collar and lapel resets.
*Full lining replacement and fabric holes are not free. Give us a week or two for free maintenance.
Money Back Assurance
If you are not satisfied with an alteration, you do not have to pay for that specific seam. Enacts if our tailors are unable to satisfy you after a reasonable effort to correct the fit.
*Maximum refund amount is $500 per client.
If you are not 100% satisfied, immediately ask to speak to Juan to schedule a fitting to qualify for a refund. Juan Cuello, the former head tailor, is back — permanently.
Simplified, Consistent Pricing
We offer simplified pricing that stays consistent across the board. Our pricing is competitive considering we offer a guarantee on every alteration, and considering we're located in a Class A office building in Midtown Manhattan, near Grand Central and Rockefeller Center. Pricing on hand-made garments and outerwear may fluctuate slightly. Our pricing will run higher than a local dry cleaner or seamstress — our focus is quality and fit, not being the cheapest.
To take in or let out the sides of a dress — $100–$200 to resize up to one size, $200–$300 for more than one size. Hem is additional.
To hem the bottom of a dress, per layer.
Typical turnaround for a dress alteration — we cannot rush women's alterations since our seamstress is part-time.
Every garment is different. For an exact quote on your suit, dress, or formalwear, call or text (212) 392-5711 — pricing varies by fabric, construction, and the alteration required.
